Waxing Treatments
All of the basic waxing treatments along with a selection of specialist waxing treatments are available at the salon.
Prior to the treatment - the therapist will cleanse the area using a specially formulated pre-cleansing lotion. The therapist will then apply a high quality cherry gel wax and remove the unwanted hair. You should ensure that the hair to be waxed is a minimum of around 0.75cm - 1cm so that the wax will take to the hair effectively. This is normally around 2 weeks post-shaving growth for most ladies or 4-6 weeks post waxing.
Once the waxing has been completed, a soothing lavender lotion is applied to nourish and calm the skin helping it to recover quickly from the waxing treatment.

Does it hurt?
The first time it hurts more than any other time. Why? Because if you wax regularly you are removing less hair each time. This is why it is so important for you to rebook your next wax appointment three weeks after your first (virgin) waxing. DO NOT wait until
your hair has all grown back to come in... this is a virgin wax all over again. If this happens you will never get beyond initial waxing discomfort. You MUST get waxing on a regular basis, which is every four weeks. This will also help normal breakouts diminish over time.
Will the hair grow back thicker/stronger/darker?
Don't bald men wish! When hair is shaved, it is cut off at the thick part of the hair, which is why you can feel stubble the next day. A properly waxed hair is removed from the root and when the hair starts to grow back it is a new hair, very fine at the tip, so no stubble. The only things I know that stimulates hair growth are hormones, natural or artificial.
How long does the hair have to be?
You should have three weeks hair growth, regardless of body part. Just because you think itÕs long enough doesnÕt mean an adequate amount of growth has occurred for an effective waxing. Your legs will not be smooth for about three waxing appointments due to the different stages of hair growth. After that your legs will be smooth and less likely to break out after waxing.
What are proper waxing techniques?
Generally speaking, wax is applied in the direction of the hair growth and removed against it. This is not so for a Brazilian when wax is
applied down and removed up. Your technician should always keep her hand close to your body when removing wax and always keep the skin held tight. More bikini lines are bruised because the technician did not hold the skin properly.
Nearly everybody removes hair from some part of her face or body, which makes everyone a possible wax candidate.
